Mariah Doran grew up on the Gulf of Mexico in St. Petersburg, Florida. She received her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and African studies at the University of Florida, where she combined her love of travel with her fascination with human history. It was while living in Tanzania in 2007 that Mariah was compelled by documentary film as a means to share the diverse stories and experiences of people throughout the world.
Mariah began pursuing film in New York City in 2009, working as an Art Director and in various other art department positions for independent productions before moving on to documentary film full-time.
In May of 2011, Mariah joined Florentine Films in the New York City office. She is the Production Coordinator for the new series about the history and meaning of the Vietnam War, scheduled for release in 2016. Mariah feels incredibly fortunate to be part of the Florentine family.
